maison dus
architecture by Rodolph Mertens
design by inside : Sébastien Esposito
This contemporary single-family villa is located in the heart of the forest. A natural decor in line with the brutalist and minimalist style found throughout the house.
The main materials used by the architect are the concrete seen on the walls and the marble on the floor, which we have mixed with custom-made furniture in raw metal and aged wood.
From this choice of materials results a contrasting atmosphere, between industrial and contemporary minimalism.
Inside carried out the entire interior design, the raw metal joinery including the sliding doors and the staircase railing, and also furnished the entire house, bringing back softness thanks to the velvet fabrics. From the furniture to the wallpapers, all the colors have been chosen with care in keeping with the outside environment.
